**GPU:** NVIDIA RTX 5090 FE
I was waiting on this before even starting the build. I grabbed one about a month ago, so now I’m finally moving ahead.
**Motherboard**
Still the hardest choice. I wanted built-in 10GbE at first, but that narrows options. I could use an M.2 to 10GbE adapter, or a Thunderbolt 4 to 10GbE adapter. Not sure which route makes the most sense. Brand trust is also tricky. I saw a lot of posts warning about various brands, so I’m trying to figure out what is actually solid right now.
**CPU**
Leaning toward AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D for strong performance in both AutoCAD and gaming.
**Memory**
Question on compatibility. Even if the board supports higher speeds, the CPU can still be the limiter.
Is Corsair Vengeance 96 GB (2 x 48 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 a good pick, and will it play nicely with a 9950X3D?
**Power Supply**
I picked the NZXT C1200 (2024) 1200 W 80+ Gold, but I am still not sure. I have read good things about be quiet! and Seasonic too, especially their higher-wattage units in the 1300 W and up range. I want to avoid coil whine and, obviously, I do not want any safety issues with a 5090 FE. Which PSUs work best with the 5090 FE power connector? Should I avoid adapters? Can someone expand on this part?
**CPU Cooler**
Can you comment on the cooler I picked? Is it enough for the 9950X3D, or should I go bigger?
**Case**
No concerns here. I am happy with the case choice.
