Construction PC : Boucle personnalisée dans un T1

A few months ago I got a good deal on a G80SD monitor, which became a catalyst to put together a new PC for gaming in 4k. I settled on the T1 and picked up the sapphire pure card which guided the colour scheme and other parts. I also wanted to try build my first ever custom loop which was probably the most unnecessary part of this, but it was great learning and a fun experience. Overall really happy with this build and want to share some insights and tips with anyone looking to build something similar

*TLDR: T1 nice, undervolt good*

*Build pics in the front -> some temps and fan curve at the end*

Specs:

CPU: AMD 9800x3d

GPU: Sapphire Pure 9070 XT

Board: ASUS B650E-I

PSU: Corsair SF850 3.1

RAM: Kingston Fury 32gb 6000mhz CL30

SSD: WD Black SN7100 2tb Gen 4

Custom loop:

CPU block: Alphacool Eisbaer LT solo

Radiator: Alphacool HPE-20 Full Copper 240mm

Fittings: various EK extenders and micro 90 degree

Tubing: EK 10/16 matte black soft tubing

Sensor: Alphacool Eiszapfen sensor

A couple of things:

The tight space in the T1 means custom cables make a huge difference, I went with [Dreambigbyray on etsy](https://www.etsy.com/se-en/shop/DreambigbyRayMOD) and had no issues whatsoever. Their communication and delivery was quick and the cables are great. Here’s my cable lengths:

2x GPU 8p 300mm

1x CPU 8p 300mm

1x ATX 24p 130mm

The CPU and 24p cables are perfect, but I think the GPU lengths could have been more optimised, you can see in the pics I tuck roughly 8cm of cable. Also if you order from him [check this page ](https://www.dreambigbyray.com/blogs/useful-informations/faq-why-the-pinout-are-different-from-stock-cable)about the pin outs. I’d also recommend a fan grill for the fan that covers the area above the PSU

I also had some issues mounting the water block. The mounting screws and springs that came with the block were very tall and didn’t allow the fittings to sit low enough to pass the tubing without bulging the side panel. To solve this I bought some #6-32 x 3/4-inch [screws off amazon](https://www.amazon.se/-/en/dp/B0DJZ1RJ76)

If you’re going with black tubing or have no way to see whether or not the loop is full, [this video from optimum ](https://youtu.be/sPHLMQiPLN4?list=PLU0s3n5d3TuM5KlSP69wSf7V65JNftYoI)shows how to move the loop around and gently squeeze the tubing to remove air bubbles

When I got everything set up in windows, I kept all drivers and settings on default and played Helldivers 2 for a couple of hours. Temps were really high with the CPU reaching 90C and the fan curve was all over the place. There’s loads of information and videos on this out there, but here’s my undervolt settings to bring the temps down

CPU:

PPT: 115W

TDC: 90A

EDC: 105A

All cores: -25

This has run stable for a couple of weeks now, and I feel like its a good baseline and if I really wanted the temps lower I could look at lowering single cores. However on the GPU side I’ve had issues with AMD driver timeouts, so my undervolt has been very conservative while I adjust it in small increments

GPU:

Power limit: -11%

Voltage offset: -60mV

VRAM: 2600 (default speed)

**Thermals:**

Here are some temps with these settings, and you can see my fan control setup in the pics. I’ve found using ‘plateaus’ instead of a curve helps dial in a fan RPM you’re happy with for both noise and temperatures

Idle / general windows use:

CPU Core(Tctl/Tdie): 56-59C

GPU: 32-34C

Helldivers 2 at 4K 120hz / 120fps (temps vary a bit depending on whats happening):

CPU Core(Tctl/Tdie): 68-73C

GPU: 47-52C

OCCT:

CPU CCD1 (Tdie): 76-78C, 100% load 4360mhz

I can’t give you a noise reading here but the pump, noctua fans and GPU are all extremely quiet and produce no coil whine or bearing noises

Had a great time building this and really happy with the result, hopefully all this is in someway helpful!
