Theyre not deleted, any additional services that not essential gets disabled. They re-enable when you reboot the pc. Like i said, Tons of tutorials and explanations on youtube.

When you boot up the computer theres a very brief popup that states to hit a key (usually f10 or one of the other f keys) that allows you to change how it boots up. From there you just select safe mode. It should be the exact same as regular, but it wont let you connect to the internet and a few others minor things. After the update (hopefully) finishes, just restart and it’ll be back in normal mode.

I almost always install updates, if I don’t, do they just go away automatically? Or what happens?

      1. Jude Chambers · 5 days ago

I tend to pause them for a while if I can you can pause updates for about 4 weeks at time by that time most issues are sorted on the problematic ones.

You do realize they have a laundry list of MASSIVE problems and might go bankrupt from all the lawsuits against them Whereas steam/valve do basically nothing and yet somehow keep winning

Run disk cleanup, choose the drive windows is on, then choose Clean Up system files… choose the windows drive and make sure windows update stuff is selected.. and run that. Then try running a command prompt as admin.. and typing sfc /scannow Reboot and try installing the update again.
