swap the gpu to the XFX swift 9070 XT (it’s white) and save yourself $350 (6% slower for 25% less cost based on day 1 testing)

Monitor is more expensive than the graphics card, rare these days I imagine. 65W cpu, wet cooler seems like overkill/annoyance. Playing around inside a black case, with black parts, on a black motherboard is daft, so a white mobo makes sense. White parts are less common than black ones though, even more so if you are going down to micro.

yeah, alienware is on the pricier, but I heard pretty good reviews on this monitor. I’m actually going the white wood version of the a3 lol. Any recommendation for the air cooler?

Thermalright peerless assassin or phantom spirit

Thermalright peerless assassin (Gamers nexus best air cooler 2023) id-cooling frozn a720 (Gamers nexus tied best air cooler 2024) arctic freezer 36 (Gamers nexus tied best air cooler 2024) bearing in mind you will have to pay attention to size/clearance, especially with a micro build

Thanks! updated and it’s available now. I’m not too familiar with cpu. Is the x3d worth the switch? I heard the 7800x3d is pretty good. I changed the power supply to MSI MAG 850 since it has white version. I’ve looked into the o11d mini v2, but it a bit wider? I want to keep this pc compact and slim. I originally was considering the fractal terra but I don’t think I can handle a case this small, plus a3 has a better airflow.

its a very very compact case. yeah its slightly wider and i can garuntee you that one does not have better airflow lmao. also the mini v2 alows for any size mobo or gpu including vertical gpus with good cooling due to slanted fans. x3d is worth it but mainly for gaming. and if u arent spending a shit ton of money on it.

also i reccomend getting a 9070xt if u want better performance for cheaper and u dont mind sacrificing dlss4 and nvenc. those are the only reasons to buy nvidia. and mfg but mfg is ass alot of the time. and amd’s single fg is really nice

Alright, you convince me, I’ll switch to the v2. If I switch to 7800x3d, will air cooleer do the job, or should I stick with the water cooler? Also, how do you manage the airflow? I’ll probably switch to 9070xt

Are you sure you chose the correct motherboard? That says B850, while the micro ATX version would be B850M. I don’t see any other issues though.
